ABOUT
Jack McAvoy is an award-winning cinematographer who works across drama, commercials, music videos, and documentaries. His work has screened at numerous festivals including Tribeca, Telluride, Raindance, Palm Springs, Sydney, and Aesthetica and has won three Australian Cinematographers Society awards.
Jack is passionate about stories and this is reflected in his narrative work, including films that have won the Best Short Film at the Sydney Film Festival (SFF) 2023, the prestigious Iris Prize, been nominated for a BAFTA Cymru, four finalists in the Dendy Awards for Australian Short Films at the SFF and won Best Cinematography 2024 and Best Australian Short Film 2018 at Flickerfest (Academy qualifying).
